A Good Conversation, A Mutual Intention

Today, I had an online chat with Dr. Niza, the Chairperson of Pertubuhan Restu Amal Jasa Malaysia (RESTU Malaysia).

She reached out after being introduced by GAPS. RESTU already has a website, but she shared that they’ve been having some technical issues with its settings. Since the team doesn’t have someone who can fix it, she was simply looking for a way to solve the problem.

When she learned that we provide free tech support, she was pleasantly surprised. She said it’s rare to come across a local team that’s not just offering advice, but actually willing to help on the ground. She hopes this kind of support model can continue and reach more small NGOs like theirs — people who care deeply but often lack the resources.

Our conversation was practical and grounded. No big plans, no rush. Just going through what’s stuck, and slowly figuring out how to make things work again.

I really appreciate this kind of pace. It doesn’t begin with grand visions, but with solving one small challenge — and from there, letting trust grow naturally.

This is the kind of work I want to keep doing. Quiet, steady support that doesn’t need to be loud, but makes a real difference.
